A heartbroken story which reveals the worse conditions of farmers that one might feel shame on oneself- a farmer committed suicide only because he got cheated with adulterated cotton seeds worth 300 rupees ($5) in his hometown in southern India. Here a question arises: the value of 300 rupees in theirs and our life? As the saying goes committing suicide is a sin. But when life becomes a curse. Over 3 lakh farmers have committed suicide in india since 1995. The reasons behind their condition are issues of weather and climate,  lack of farm labour, unsatisfactory realisation of prices, inadequate of storage facilities, quality of seeds, pesticides, and fertilisers, e.t.c.
They are like god, giver of life. God has given the life and they are maintaining. Though they are not able to lead their perfectly. As Gulzar said “nobody went to the fields to burn the crop of wheat from which a farmer could not even get a morsel of bread”. He exclaimed with sorrow “crops which cannot provide bread to the farmer burn those crops of wheat”. Are we having a selfish heart? That we never concern about farmer. While they are indirectly part of our life, they are neglected though.  how can we become so insensitive? We are takers, as to help the giver why we hide our helping hands?
They are serving their hard work as minimum 3 meals per day to us and in exchange they have high debt to pay. Their life is routined till their old age or last breath. Every year is same for them. A video was also made on farmer in which a daughter always saw her father secretly while he was working. Her father was a farmer and she was really worried about her dad. Are we lucky that our father has not this occupation? We don`t have to live under this strain.

Being a farmer is a curse for them while they are the reason behind our life. As we will always want that we must not be lacking of farmers but if a person cannot have facilities, being a giver then why he remains in that same occupation? Serve them too. Help them. Treat them as much they deserve. If you will take everything from the giver, what would he have to offer? They are committing suicide and we will die of hunger.
