Difference between peace and happiness with reference to the TINTERN ABBEY
The poem " TINTERN ABBEY" by William Wordsworth helps us to distinguish between happiness and peace. He is standing by nature. He has revisited the same place after `five years`. Nature helped him to forget about every pain. He remembered the memories when he was a teenager, used to climb the mountains and race with the flow of water. `For nature then to me was all in all.` He saw the external beauty of nature which gave him enjoyment and happiness. He was not mature enough at that time. After `five years` nature helps him to think deeper. Nature makes him thoughtful and it holds something beyond physical beauty. It gives him peace and he is mature now. He understands the value of nature and its selfless nature.
external beauty can give enjoyment and internal beauty gives him peace.
